CASE STUDIES
Real problems.
Real results.
Three PMO transformation case studies from one Fortune 500 global data center company. How we fixed its portfolio, its PMO, and the way hundreds of people deliver its most important program.
“Rather than imposing a one-size-fits-all framework, he took the time to understand each team’s maturity level, culture, and pain points, then tailored his coaching accordingly.”
Director, Technical Program Management, Global Data Center CompanyONE CLIENT, THREE PROBLEMS
They kept bringing us back for the next hard problem.
All three of these case studies come from a single client relationship that lasted more than four years. We started as enterprise agile coaches at the team, program, and portfolio levels. Over time, the work grew into training, large program delivery, and an interim leadership role running the Technical Program Management Office.
That is the point. Each problem was different: a portfolio that could not see its own work, a PMO where every project ran differently, and a platform migration that had already failed more than once. The same client trusted us with all three.
ACROSS ALL THREE
4+ years
With the same Fortune 500 client, from coaching to interim leadership.
Hundreds of people
From a 35 person TPMO to a Solution Train of about 25 teams.
Weeks, not years
Standards in about 60 days. Lean Portfolio Management in 30 to 45.
Built to last
The client kept scaling the work after we stepped back.
THE CASE STUDIES
Portfolio, PMO, and delivery at scale.
Start with the one that sounds most like your situation.
Lean Portfolio Management: four years of “not yet,” live in 45 days
An eight figure portfolio had no single view of its work. We put 50+ work items in one place within days, paused or cancelled about 20% of them within weeks, and cut decision time from months to days.
PMO Standards: from 35 individual consultants to one TPMO
A TPMO running 80 to 100 projects had no shared way of working. In about 60 days we introduced job families, a standard reporting package, and a self-service knowledge site built for AI.
Lead to Cash: from 8 teams to 25, one rhythm
A platform replacement that had failed before. We moved about 350 people out of functional silos and onto a single Solution Train of three Agile Release Trains.
